Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys Joining “The Voice” Season 1129. March 2016
NBC has revealed on Friday that new judges are coming in the Voice Season 11. The great news is for the first time in The Voice, two female coaches will be sitting in the rotating red chair.
Gwen Stefani’s hope for the show to have two female judges has come to be realized. In her interview, she wants to collaborate with Christina to showcase girl power. However, it would not happen as early as now.
Miley Cyrus and Alicia keys will be joining the show for the fall’s Season 11 in September, replacing Pharrell Williams, who could be back anytime on the next seasons, and Christina Aguilera, who haven’t said anything yet, while Adam Levine and Blake Shelton stays regular in the show.
After TheWrap broke the news earlier the night of Friday, NBC officially confirmed about the changes that the Voice will have in the coming months.
This is one of the major yet exciting changes in the show right now! For the first time in the Voice’s history, two ladies will be joining in the competition. One of them may already win the title. For the last seasons, Blake and Adam created winners with tally count of 4-3,
Though The Voice is still one of the most viewed television programs, its ratings have declined just enough to make some tweaks.
Judges from the show would rotate in and out but the newcomers, Cyrus and Keys, both have previously worked as a mentor and adviser on the show might leverage the show.
For the past years, only one woman appears as a coach for each season. Gwen Stefani, Shakira, and Christina Aguilera have taken the spin but never at the same time. But Miley and Alicia have made it together. Both are expected to offer a unique perspective from Levine and Shelton who remains regular in the show for the last 10 seasons.
None of the female coaches have ever won “The Voice”. Fans are hoping that by this time, either of them could already earn the spotlight.
Miley Cyrus being the youngest judge in the show loves to pull stunts to the camera. So with the drop of viewers compared to the previous seasons, this can help boost ratings on each episode. Alicia Keys, on the other hand, would be the first black female coach of The Voice.
Season 11 is going to be an exciting episode for The Voice. For the first time, we will see even judging panel sitting in the red spinning chair to win the hearts of hopeful singers during the blind audition, then mentoring each in the hopes to be the Season 11 grand winner.
