Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s New Song Duet Released

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are real happy couples. After they confirmed the release of their new duet collaboration titled "Go Ahead and Break My Heart", the two celebrated the success with plain sweetness. But they did not keep it themselves because the world has witnessed their charm.

Blake Shelton, during the debut, shared his sentiment on the release of their new duet song.

We're a little bit nervous about it, but nervous in a way that we can't wait and nervous in a way that we hope people think it's as good as we think it is. It's like people getting a look at something personal for the first time."

The couple’s celebration is simple yet meaningful. Instead of dining in a fine restaurant and partied with friends, the two chose to make it more private and classic.

In a photo posted by Gwen, you can see Shelton kissing her on the forehead. But aside from that sweet behavior, they have carved their initials “B+G” on a tree. This is more than an official relationship gesture but an act of trust and tenderness.

On March 9, 2016, Monday, the two performed the song first time on The Voice . Gwen shared a Tweet afterward.

Go Ahead and Break My Heart

The song "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" is extra special for Blake and Gwen. The lyrics are pure and exactly what they mean. No one, except him and Gwen, wrote the song.

"There's not a third ghost writer, there're not five writers on it. It's just she and I sat down and wrote this song … and I couldn't be happier about [it]."

In an interview with People, the two admits that the song is about their failed love stories.

"It is about some serious insecurities that we had when we first started down this road with each other. We both had trust issues. We were getting over it, but we wrote this song about it, and it's perfect."

The lyrics from the beginning until end tell the story from their heartbreaks to how they meet each other. And that made the story genuine with the hope of moving out from pain.

If you haven’t heard it, here’s a glimpse:

Gwen, same with Blake, is happy with the duet saying:

"It was a really super unexpected gift to find a friend, somebody who happened to be going through the exact same thing as me, literally mirroring my experience. I don't think it's an accident that that happened. It saved me."

As we all know, both stars went through broken marriage and divorce with ex-partners last year. This bitter experience had helped them compose the "Go Ahead and Break My Heart", which is actually an actual storytelling of their personal breakthrough from despair.

The gloom on Blake and Gwen’s life has now turned bright as they have found light in their own arms. The initials inscribed in the tree behind their smooching attests their forever love.
