8 Compositions of Taylor Swift About Women

08. December 2015

Taylor Swift has been in the hot seat of writing songs about her past romances and guys she used to fling with. Well, they have a point! We can't blame these people for reacting so mean at Taylor because most of her biggest hits are story of old relationships and heartbreaks.

However, we must not react negatively as Taylor personally penned and composed songs about women which became part of her biggest hits and success. Along her top compositions, she has scribbled 8 songs you don't know that are inspired by women she admires. Let us check the list here.

  1. "BAD BLOOD"

The song "Bad Blood" is about a pop star singer, who had tried to sabotage Taylor Swift's arena tour. According to an interview with the Rolling Stone, the singer has insulted Taylor many times during the awards show. Speculations from her fans tell that the "Bad Blood" describes Katy Perry.

Taylor Swift is also a fan of the Hunger Games movie. She composed the movie's hunting song which is  the "Safe and Sound" that is written from the perspective of the film's heroine, Katniss Everdeen.

"Fifteen" is a song written for Abigail Anderson, who is her best friend since high school in Nashville. Taylor describes Anderson as a redhead girl seat mate in high school, who eventually turned her best friend until present. The two dated during the Grammy 2015.

The lyrics, "She's not a saint and she's not what you think / She's an actress, whoa / But she's better known for the things that she does on the mattress, whoa…", has interpreted by Swifties fans as a song for Camilla Belle, who was linked to Joe Jonas, her ex, after their breakup.

"Your are In Love" was dedicated to Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff, which became part of her 1989 bonus track. Taylor penned the song about the couple's relationship, which was appreciated by Lena who said that "You are In Love" will be her "someday wedding song".

Nobody knows who really "The Lucky One" is. Taylor has not said any words about the song, but her fans believed that it is about Joni Mitchell. While Taylor is writing the song, rumors revealed that the singer will play as Mitchell in a blopic.

No need to guess who is the song dedicated for because the liner notes tells it's "FOR ETHEL". The song was inspired by a vintage photo of  Ethel and Robert R. Kennedy during their younger years.

Taylor Swift is the sweetest. She might have written great songs about famous and well- known women, but she never forget to dedicate songs for the greatest woman of her life. "The Best Day" and "Never Grow Up" is written for her mom, who have been with her always.

Taylor Swift is a natural musician. She has the hands to write story and ears for music. These made her a great singer- composer of the decade.
