Ariana Grande Duets with Ex for a Love Song

16. January 2016

The year 2016 is a year of rekindling and reunion. It was reported that Ariana Grande duetted with ex- boyfriend, Nathan Sykes, for his ballad song, "Over and Over Again". Is this the start of a new relationship?

After their break up on December 2013, this is again the first time the two worked together for a single. Speculations about their partnership started when they both shared on Twitter lyrics from the song. Ariana first teased fans when she posted a part of "Over and Over Again".

“from the heat of night to the break of day I'll keep you safe & hold you forever #OverAndOverAgain (sic)"

Nathan, on his twitter, also re-tweeted her ex’s posts. Then he revealed that the song is about their late romance. The 22-year-old singer admits that he wrote the song inspired by her ex, Ariana, during their brief romance from August 2013 to December 2013. Oh my! It seems that there is still spark between both of you. Ehem.

After Sykes confirmed Grande’s role on his new love song, fans keep eyes to them. In an interview, he shared his excitement about the release of "Over and Over Again".

"I can't wait for everyone to hear the new version of 'Over And Over Again'. It's such a special song to me and I'm delighted that I'm able to share this with not only a friend of mine but also somebody who is incredibly talented." You’re such as sweety. One question, do you really see her as a friend? Tell us.

On the other side, Ariana also feels glad about their partnership

“He's so talented. I am so glad to have met him and have a friend like him in my life. He's an amazing person. He's such a great person. I adore him and he's so talented."

Even after parting ways on 2013, the two remained friends and still care for each other.  They also have been in touch long after their separation. “

Nathan and Ariana always cared for each other and the main reason they broke up was that their careers made it impossible to see one another. They lost touch for a while but they've recently been chatting again while they each record new albums."

Now that you two are working together in a project, it’s maybe the time for you to settle everything.

Nathan and Ariana first collaborated on one of the “Love Me Harder” song, “Almost Is Never Enough”. The Sun Online also emphasized that that two have worked together before for a collaboration. This is Ariana’s moment to repay the favour to Nathan after he sang on Grande’s first album.

"Nathan sang on Ariana's first album so she felt it was only fair to repay the favour - even though they aren't together anymore.” Cool.

Anyway, fans are happy about their collaboration and everybody is excited to hear their song.

Don’t worry! You can already listen to the “Over and Over Again” today, January 15, through iTunes and other digital streaming platforms.
